As If It Were A Farewell to Earth
Created: 2024-05-15
The more you fly up, the more you don't want to fly back down. This is a story about the Moon and the Earth.
You had the choice to live comfortably and happily on Earth, but you decided to risk your life and fly to the Moon, which in your civilization, would be considered paradise.
You began to realize that the higher up you go, the lonelier it becomes.
You began to ask yourself if it was really worth that long journey.
I accidentally took this photo on the left. Shanghai Tower is one of the tallest buildings in the world and is the tallest building in China. Here it is, standing tall and reaching for the Moon.
Lyrics
It’s 2AM. No time to Lose, lose, lose, And I don’t want to be the last one standing So many things that I can Choose, choose, choose, But in this world there’s never Anyone just like You, You, You The moonlight in the sky When you light up my world The dark would never make me cry You, You, You Nothing can hide me from the Truth, Truth, Truth I wanna fly up and watch you Light up the sky Farewell to the Night Hello, Light. My feet are dancing for you… Dance the night away. Hello, Moon. You make me want to give a Farewell to Earth. Hello, World. It’s hard to see you while I’m… Dancing on the Moon. The Moon is high up in the Air, Air, Air But everyone’s asleep and no one ever cares I always dream of being there There, There, There, But in this world there’s only You who thinks like I do You, You, You The moonlight in the sky When you light up my world The dark would never make me cry You, You, You Nothing can hide me from the Truth, Truth, Truth I wanna fly up and watch you Light up the sky Farewell to the Night Hello, Light. My feet are dancing for you… Dance the night away. Hello, Moon. You make me want to give a Farewell to Earth. Hello, World. It’s hard to see you while I’m… Dancing on the Moon. You, You, You, Your light keeps me up all night, but I, I, I Just tell myself it’s alright You, and I, Like broken glass reflecting Moonlight Let’s make it shine bright Tonight. Tonight. I wanna fly up and watch you Light up the sky Farewell to the Night Hello, Light. My feet are dancing for you… Dance the night away. Hello, Moon. You make me want to give a Farewell to Earth. Hello, World. It’s hard to see you while I’m… Dancing on the Moon.
I Rode The Train From Suburbia
Created: 2024-03-01
This song was inspired by the train station in Bulle, a suburban town in the Swiss Alps. The station was so quiet that there seemed to be more meters of train tracks than number of people in this city.
The cover photo was taken in South Korea.
Lyrics
I rode a train from my homestead Wishing that I stayed home instead I stood on Platform Twenty-Two Standing back miles from you Heard a voice that I knew I knew I’ve been riding away Never meant to stay Rode the Train from Suburbia Like how I used to. Sometimes I hate when you’re gone, So I try to find the places Where I feel like I belong The train stops somewhere new, But my brain goes back thinking you Every place I’ve ever been My thoughts won’t end I rode a train from my homestead Wishing that I stayed home instead I stood on Platform Twenty-Two Standing back miles from you Heard a voice that I knew I knew I’ve been riding away Never meant to stay Rode the Train from Suburbia Like how I used to. Sometimes I wished you were here, So I try to find the places that let you and I be near The train moves on its own, And I don’t want to be alone Every piece of you that I remember will Never end. Our fairy tales will be burnt today Our memories will fade away I bought the ticket you won’t forget To board the Train from Suburbia Our memories will Fade away Fade away Fade away Like that. So why don’t you come over Wait a while for me? I rode a train from my homestead Wishing that I stayed home instead I stood on Platform Thirty-Two Standing right next to you Heard your voice which I knew I knew I’ve been riding away Never meant to stay Rode the Train from Suburbia Like how I used to Like how I used to Like how I used to do. Like how it used to be. I knew I’ve been riding away. I was never meant to stay. Always knew I’d be here today. Rode the Train from Suburbia.
